Privacy Policy

EvoFitCo holds things people are private about: what they eat, what they weigh, how they are sleeping. This page says exactly what we collect, why, and who ever sees it.

What we collect

Your account. Your name and email address, how you signed in, and the role you chose when you joined. If you are an employee, we also store which company, property and department your access code placed you in.

How you use the program. Which daily actions you complete and when, your points, streaks and challenge participation, and the shout-outs you post in Community.

Health and wellness entries. Only what you enter or allow: meals and their calories and macros, water, weight, and daily check-ins covering mood, energy and any note you write. If you use 1-on-1 coaching, the intake questionnaire also records your date of birth, gender, height, weight, goals, training experience, equipment, and any injuries or limitations you tell us about so your coach can plan around them.

Camera, photos and location. The camera is used to scan barcodes and to photograph a nutrition label. Photo access is for choosing a profile picture or scanning a barcode from a saved image. Location is used only while you are looking at nearby restaurants: it is sent to Google's places service to find them, and nothing else. We do not track your location in the background.

Payment. If you pay us, Stripe handles the card. We never see or store your card number. We keep an identifier for your Stripe customer and subscription, and whether it is active.

Site analytics. This website uses Google Tag Manager, which sets cookies and records the usual page-visit information: pages viewed, approximate location from your IP address, device and browser. The app itself does not carry advertising trackers.

The interest form. If you fill it in, we keep the name, email, whether you asked as a company or an individual, your company name and property count if you gave them, and your message.

Why we collect it

To run the thing you signed up for: build your program, show your progress, award points, let your coach coach you, keep your employer's account working, take payment where payment is due, and answer you when you get in touch.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use your health or nutrition entries to target advertising anywhere.

What your employer can see

This is the part worth reading twice, because it is the reason the program works.

Your employer, and any property manager on their account, can see:

They cannot see:

There is no report, export or dashboard that returns those to an employer. If you believe you have seen one, tell us and we will treat it as a defect.

Health and Apple Health

EvoFitCo is a general wellness product. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or treat anything, and nothing in it is medical advice. We deliberately do not collect clinical information.

With your permission, the app reads your step count from Apple Health, including steps your Apple Watch recorded. We use it to show your daily activity and nothing else. We never use Apple Health data for advertising, and we never sell it or share it with a data broker. You can withdraw that permission at any time in the Health app, and the rest of EvoFitCo carries on working without it.

When you photograph a nutrition label, that photo is sent to Anthropic's Claude to read the numbers off it, and the numbers are returned to fill in the form. When you scan a barcode, the barcode is sent to food databases to look up the product. Neither is connected to your name.

Who else handles it

We use other companies to run EvoFitCo. They process data on our instructions, for the purpose listed, and nothing else:

Your data is stored in the United States. If you use EvoFitCo from elsewhere, that is where it will be.

How long we keep it

Your account data and your entries stay while your account is open. If your employer's plan ends, your access ends, and we keep the account only as long as we need to for records and legal obligations. Ask us to delete it and we will.

Interest-form submissions are kept while we are still in touch about them.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can turn off camera, photo, location and Apple Health permissions in your device settings at any time. You can opt out of the analytics on this website with any standard browser or extension control that blocks Google Tag Manager, and the site works the same without it.

If you are in California, you have the right to know what we collect, to ask us to delete it, and not to be treated differently for asking. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined there.

Email training@evofitco.com and we will answer.

Children

EvoFitCo is for adults. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. If you believe a child has given us information, tell us and we will remove it.

Security

Sign-in is handled by Clerk rather than by us storing passwords. Traffic is encrypted in transit, card details never reach our servers, and access to production data is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. But health and nutrition entries are treated as the sensitive information they are.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and we will tell you in the app or by email if the change is significant.
